                         About us

Mark Doucette inherited his love for machining at a young age through his father. In High school he attended a true technical school. This state of the art technical school had a full fledge machine shop, including complete heat treated facilities. 

After being accepted and graduating, Mark quickly got a job at local Kawasaki shop. At this shop he met Mike Murdoch. Founder of M.R.E. (Murdoch Racing Enterprises).

Mike often offered Mark a job at MRE which Mark always passed on until one day. Mark took Mike up on the offer where he then started at Mre. Mark witnessed the shop guys undercutting gear boxes by hand with die grinders instead of using the format dust covered mills. Mark advised Mike of his machining skills and designed a carbide dovetail end mill, thus starting marks new career 

After ten years with Mre, Mark then started his own shop in 1990, R&D Motorsports. Where he still is today with his two loyal right hand men. These guys have been with him ever since helping to produce the highest quality transmission work available. No games, no gimmicks, no up sales. With over 35 years experience and a plethora of knowledge in this field you can be sure that trannies are in proper trust worthy hands here at R&D.
