Harley Davidson: V-Rods and Destroyers

We magnaflux and inspect these and offer racecuts for street use and procuts for drag race applications.

We have 1.8 ratio billet 2nd gear sets in both a street gear and a race gear.

These are much stronger and make the RPM drop 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd much more decremental and appropriate.  

Destroyer transmissions are V-Rod transmissions that have been de-dogged, meaning every other dog and slot bridge has been removed.  This makes it a 3 dog 3 slot transmission instead of the stock 6 dog 6 slot. However, doing this makes the 4th and 5th dog ring very weak and almost everyone we inspect are cracked.  We have new dog rings with 6 slots to prevent failure.


Harley Davidson: 4 & 5 Speed Sportsters and Big Twins

We magnaflux and inspect these and offer racecuts for street and track and procuts for drag race only with annealed gears, custom shimming and shift drum modifications on the 5 speed.

Harley Davidson: 6 Speed Cruise Drive

These transmissions have not undercut on the gears from the factory and have significant problems with 2nd and 3rd gear.  We magnaflux and inspect these and undercut these.  We also have a shim kit to tighten the loose side play on 3rd gear.  We also offer a scissor spring 1st gear to eliminate neutral rattle for high horsepower applications.  We anneal the suspect 2nd and 3rd gears to help prevent breakage.

Suzuki: Hayabusa and GSXR 1000

We magnaflux and inspect these and offer racecuts for street and track and procuts for drag race only with annealed gears.  Heavy duty circlip mods NOS cut shift drums and NOS cut gears to allow shifting even with wheel spin. We also offer 1-2 auto 4 speed autos and full 6 speed autos.

 

Kawasaki’s: All Kawasaki’s including ZX10, ZX11, ZX12, ZX14

We magnaflux and inspect these and offer racecuts for street and track and procuts for drag race only with annealed gears.  Heavy duty circlip mods NOS cut shift drums and NOS cut gears to allow shifting even with wheel spin. We also offer 1-2 auto 4 speed autos and full 6 speed autos.

Yamaha: Raptor 700 Quads

We magnaflux and inspect these and offer racecuts for normal trail riding and procuts with annealed gears for higher horsepower dune or drag applications.  We also bush 5th gear to prevent seizure.  For drag only applications we offer all forms of overrides even full 5 speed overrides.

BMW K1200

These transmissions were manufactured by  a German manufacturer, Getrag, who also designed the Harley Davidson V-Rod and Cruise Drive 6 speed and feature a lot of the same parts and same failures.  BMW does not offer for sale any individual replacement parts other than shift forks, fork rods and shift drums.

You cannot buy individual gears for these, only a complete transmission replacement at a cost north of $4,500.  We magnaflux and inspect these and then hardface weld any worn dogs or slots and then do a precise undercut to prevent any future failure.  We keep all replacement parts like shift forks, shift fork rods, seals and o rings in stock and have good used donor transmissions for parts in stock.

Suzuki: M-109

These transmissions have a particular problem with 2nd gear.  They also have shift forks with the pins on the forks that ride in the shift drum slots that are shaped like trailer hitch balls, which wear out and can wear out the shift drum.  We have straight pin replacement shift forks, as well as, solid billet shift fork rods to replace the hollow stock fork rods with bend very easily. We magnaflux and inspect these and undercut the engagement dogs and slots for precise shifts.
